Legacy-The Myers Park Story was written by Mary Norton Kratt and Thomas W. Hanchett in 1986.   It was underwritten and published by the Myers Park Foundation.  It has been printed twice, and the second edition is almost sold out. About eighteen copies are still available: first come – first served.  A few special leather bound copies are available to persons who make a significant donation to the Foundation ($500.00 or more donation). The book sales have supported the tree replenishing  program undertaken in the 1990’s as well as the design/approval and additional cost of the gateway/bus shelters constructed on East Boulevard near Sugar Creek.
